The Big Stomp

Sometimes I get invited to events that make me so proud of my hometown. Louisville has been through a lot in the past 4 years. Public unrest and disappointment from the Breanna Taylor murder, growing gun violence in our community, continuing distrust of our leaders and much more have plagued our city. But we are trying! Thanks to the Pete Foundation, an organization that brings awareness to suicide prevention, we have had the first music festival dedicated to mental health.

This 2 day festival included 30 bands, food trucks, activities for kids, equine therapy, yoga, meditation and much more. It was a blast!RISE and RISE for Education were invited to teach self-hypnosis, EFT, meditation and yoga for kids. The Zen Den was beautiful created as a safe and comfortable space for people to rest, reset and learn. Everyone who participated was interested to learn and grateful for some new knowledge. Louisville Silent Disco also supplied the headphones with calming music and nature sounds. It was a beautiful supportive event and I look forward to many more years of mental health awareness and THE BIG STOMP.
